]]> Up to June 1st, 148 天美传媒 graduates in the Class of 2021 have already got 1130 university offers from Canada, USA, UK, Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand. 1013 offers are issued by Canadian universities. These include the world’s top universities such as University of Toronto, McGill University, University of British Columbia, Imperial College London, University College London, King’s College London, University of Melbourne, etc.

Among these offers, University of Toronto has issued 185 offers to 天美传媒 students, among which 60% are STEM and business programs. Each student gets more than one offer from University of Toronto for three consecutive years.

In general, more than 66% of students are admitted by STEM and business programs and 77% of students have at least one offer from the? world’s top 100 universities.

Similar to previous years, 天美传媒 has top admissions such as Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at University of Toronto, Rotman Commerce at University of Toronto, and Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. The computer science program at University of Waterloo, which has the lowest acceptance rate in Canada, admits 天美传媒 graduates for three consecutive years.

]]> Last weekend, 天美传媒 held the online seminar on the theme“International Students and Vaccines”,which is welcomed by many students and parents. 天美传媒 is honoured to invite Prof. Wang Peizhong, who is also the Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Toronto and head of the New Crown Virus Research Program at the Canadian Council for Social Sciences and Humanities to join the seminar. Following are some key points introduced by Professor Wang.

  • The third wave of the COVID-19 is going downwards

Canada’s rolling average of new cases continues to drop since May as Covid-19 vaccine roll-out across Canada.

  • Canada is not expected to have the fourth wave

As Canada rolls out more vaccines, the chance of transmission of the virus will be significantly reduced. Vaccination can powerfully mitigate the risks of a fourth wave.

  • The COVID-19 vaccines that have been authorized for use in Canada so far are Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson.

What the data shows us is that these vaccines are extremely safe, also very effective in preventing COVID-19 and particularly preventing people from getting into the hospital or dying.

  • Canada now among top countries for 1st doses of COVID-19 vaccines

By May 21st, Canada has vaccinated 48.52 per cent of the total population with at least one dose, putting the country just behind Israel, UK, Hungary and Chile.

With vaccines being rolled out in the country, Canada’s rolling average of new cases continues to drop significantly. Many universities have already announced to resume in person learning starting this fall. We strongly recommend ?students to book flight tickets as early as possible.
